Shipping lane re-opens after boat fire

Two people have been rescued and part of the river Ouse closed, following a boat fire.

Rescue teams were called to the stranded ''Jayspeed'' at 6:45am at Reedness near Goole. A local man and woman were safely taken to shore. It sank 2 hours later.

Two miles of the shipping channel were shut for safety reasons, but have since been reopened.
