Theme Park boss faces assault charge
The chief executive of Flamingo Land has appeared in court charged with assault after an incident involving a man apparently selling "two-for-one" tickets outside the North Yorkshire theme park .Gordon Gibb, 36, denied the charge of assault when he appeared before Scarborough magistrates .
Gibb, who became the youngest chairman of an English football club when he was appointed at Bradford City Football Club at the age of 26, was allegedly involved in an incident involving a man from Manchester apparently selling "two-for-one" tickets without the theme park's permission.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police were called to a report of an "ongoing assault" at the site near Malton about 10.30am on Saturday, July 28, and arrived within 15 minutes. Gibb was arrested and later released on bail. He was charged on August 28. Gibb will stand trial on February 21.
