Selby leisure centre to be rebuilt
The leisure centre in Selby which was destroyed by fire earlier this year is to re-built from scratch, civic leaders have decided.
The Abbey leisure centre was gutted by the blaze which started in the sauna. Now it is to be demolished and a new centre built on the same site, featuring a 25 metre swimming pool. It could be open in two and half years and cost up to £9 million pounds.
