Anger over Peak District motorway plans

A new motorway through the Peak District has angered environmental campaigners who say it would destroy one of the most beautiful areas in the country. The road would link Manchester with Barnsley. A similar scheme was defeated in the 1990s, but now it could be reinstated to boost economic growth.
