Rugby fans warned of M62 closure

Hull FC fans travelling back from Warrington after tonight’s Super League play-off are reminded that the M62 between junctions 25 (Brighouse) and 26 (Chain Bar) will be closed overnight in both directions by 10pm. The closure will allow the Highways Agency to carry out gantry installation work

as part of the M62 Motorway upgrade scheme, is scheduled to start from 9pm on the westbound carriageway and slip roads. Subject to traffic conditions, the eastbound carriageway will be closed later, from around 10pm.

During the closure, clearly-signed diversion routes will be in place via the local road network. The motorway is due to reopen in both directions at 9am on Sunday morning.
