North Yorkshire Police’s have appointed 15 new officers to their Special Constabulary.
North Yorkshire Police’s have appointed 15 new officers to their Special Constabulary.
The volunteer police officers were sworn in at an attestation ceremony at York Magistrates' Court this week.
Miss Aileen Bloomer, York and Selby Bench Chairperson, attested each new officer before they were presented with their warrant cards.
The officers have undergone an intensive course of training and will continue to undertake refresher training as well as learning on the job with their colleagues.

At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
