Prince Naseem Hamed calls for late Sheffield trainer Brendan Ingle to get Hall of Fame honour

Sheffield boxing legend Prince Naseem Hamed has paid an emotional tribute to his former trainer Brendan Ingle MBE, who died last week aged 77.

The former featherweight boxer was one of four world champions trained by the Irishman during his illustrious career.

Mr Ingle died last Friday at Sheffield's Royal Hallamshire Hospitalafter earlier suffering a brain haemorrhage.

Prince Naseem, who now lives in Surrey, was one of the biggest names in boxing during the 1990s having been a talent nurtured by Mr Ingle at his now-famous Wincobank gym.

Brendan Ingle's funeral is set to take place at Sheffield Cathedral on June 14 at 1.30pm, before moving to the City Road crematorium later that afternoon.
