The family of a popular busker from Leeds who died unexpectedly earlier this month has revealed his organs were donated and could save the lives of three people.

Jonny Walker, who was 37, spent 15 years as a full-time street performer after discovering a passion for busking at university in Durham.

The father-of-two died in hospital surrounded by his loved ones on March 14.

He toured at least 50 towns and cities every year - prompting an outpouring of tributes from fans from Norwich and Chester to Leeds and Beverley.

Fellow musicians have taken to the streets of Leeds and York today to raise money for a fund set up in his memory.

Jonny's family is aiming to raise £85,000 to help support causes he was passionate about, such as the Keep Streets Live campaign to protect the rights of buskers. Click here for further information.

Jonny'sfuneral will take place at Leeds Minsteron April 20.
