Girl, 16, remanded on school attempt murder charge
A 16-year-old girl has appeared in court in Grimsby charged with attempted murder after a welfare officer was stabbed at a school in North Lincolnshire.
Joy Simon, 61, was injured following the incident at Winterton CommunityAcademy, near Scunthorpe on Monday morning.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons was remanded in custody by a judge at Grimsby Youth Court. She will next appear at Hull Crown Court on Friday.
