Disappointed student who opened results live on TV tracked down by University

The University of Hull started a campaign today to try and track down a student who did not get what he expected when he opened his A-level results live on Good Morning Britain.

Liam Scroggie was opening his results on air this morning at Winstanley College in Wigan.

He wanted to study politics at Queen's University and needed to get an A and two B's to do so.

Unfortunately as he opened his results, alongside his friend Joe Sylvester, he did not get the grades he needed and was going to look towards his other option of Hull.

Someone from the University of Hull spotted Liam on Good Morning Britain and it didn't take long for them to start a campaign on Twitter ,with the hashtag #FindLiam, to track him down.

And eventually offer him a place which he accepted!
