Tanker fire causes long traffic delays on the M62
A tanker fire is causing long delays on the M62 in West Yorkshire between Junction 22 and 23.
The tyres of the tanker - carrying plastic pellets - caught alight on the motorway at around 10.30am on Monday 31st July.
Traffic was held at a standstill while emergency services extinguished the fire.
Fire services used two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to put out the blaze.
Officers say delays are still expected beyond 1pm. Traffic is still slow as one lane has been closed.
The tanker is still waiting to be recovered from the motorway.
