ITV Calendar is to join up with fellow regional new programme BBC Look North for the first time ever, to report on this weekend’s Great Get Together events in memory of murdered Yorkshire MP Jo Cox.
This Friday marks one year since the Batley and Spen MP was murdered. Hundreds of thousands of events are expected to take place nationally as part of the Great Get Together campaign, launched in Jo Cox’s name.
Christine Talbot from Calendar and Harry Gration from Look North will broadcast together from Birstall Market Place on both ITV (6pm) and BBC One (6.30pm) where one of the events will take place. This is the first time it has been done in the programmes’ 49 year history.
