Indie band Arcade Fire set to play surprise gig in Lincolnshire town

Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire are set to play a surprise gig in Lincolnshire.

Rumours started circulating late last night of a scheduled show at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe, before the venue responded.

Scunthorpe has since appeared on Arcade Fire's official website as a venue for a show on June 7.

The gig looks set to be a warm-up for their headline set at the Isle of Wight Festival. It is as yet unclear how and when tickets will become available.
