Royal Mail amends scam mail terms after Chesterfield woman's campaign
The Royal Mail is amending its terms and conditions over scam mail today - thanks to a ten year campaign by a woman from Chesterfield.
Marilyn Baldwin blamed scammers for the death of her elderly mother who was conned out of £50,000. She set up the charity 'Think Jessica' in her mother's name.
Now, thanks to her work, the Royal Mail rules to protect the vulnerable have been introduced. Postmen and women will be able to open or refuse to deliver anything believed to be part of a con.
