Yorkshire and Lincolnshire's best schools revealed
A league table of the top performing schools in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire has been released today.
The Sunday Times has compiled a list of the best independent and state schools based on their latest academic results.
The rankings in the secondary school league tables are determined by the percentage of examination entries gaining A* to B grades at A-level this summer and the percentage of entries returning A* and A grades at GCSE.
Yorkshire's top ten independent schools (percentage of A-level/GCSE A*-B grades in brackets):

The county's only independent school in the top ten is Stamford High School, which was ninth in the East Midlands.
