A man from Lincolnshire who has been jailed for leading officers on a 100mph chase through Grantham admitted to police that he learned to drive on his Playstation.

Adam Jones from Skegness caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to cars parked as he cruised through Grantham on a busy Friday night.

The reckless motorist was caught when he drove over a stinger device while on the way back to his girlfriend's home last April.

During police interviews the 24-year-old revealed that he had never taken a driving test and learned to drive on his Playstation.

At Lincoln Crown Court yesterday, Jones was jailed for 12 months after admitting aggravated vehicle taking and driving without a licence or insurance. He was also banned from driving for three years and ordered to take an extended test.
