Kamal's 50k Leukaemia hospital room challenge
A 32-year-old Leukaemia patient is undertaking a marathon challenge from his hospital room to try to raise £50,000 for charity.
Kamal Aftab from Huddersfield is aiming to do the marathon during his treatment at St James's hospital in Leeds.
Kamal, who works as an optometrist and has a passion for volunteering, was diagnosed with a blood cancer: Acute Myeloid Leukaemia three weeks ago.
Kamal has so far managed to raise £35,000 towards his target and has been helped on his way by a host of well wishes including the odd celebrity.
