UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom joins contest to become Humberside's first police and crime commissioner.

UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom has joined the contest to become Humberside's first police and crime commissioner.

Mr Bloom launched his campaign this morning and was joined by former Humberside Police Deputy Chief Constable Mike Speakman who will be his running mate. Mr Bloom will later face the other five candidates vying for the £75,000 a year role when they will take questions from students about their plans if they are elected in November.
