PM welcomes return of passenger flights to Carlisle airport
The Prime Minister Theresa May has welcomed the return of commercial flights to Carlisle Lake District Airport in the House of Commons.
Mrs May made the remark in response to Conservative Carlisle MP John Stevenson, who asked for government support for Carlisle and the Borderlands.
Mr Stevenson informed her that from 4 June she will be able to fly to Carlisle for the first time in 30 years.
