Carlisle bypass plans

The final drop in sessions on a planned £150 million southern bypass for Carlisle have been taking place this weekend.

The city and county councils are consulting on two proposed routes, which would link the M6 to the Northern Bypass west of Carlisle.

It's to serve thousands of new homes which would be part of a garden village south of the city.
