Carlisle's Olympic athlete, Tom Farrell, has withdrawn from the British Trials this weekend, due to underlying medical issues.

The 5,000 metre runner said getting a correct diagnosis is more important for the long term of his career.

The Border Harrier joined Team GB in Rio de Janiro in 2016, finishing 20th in the heats for the men’s 5000m final.
