Van driver suffered medical episode before hitting wall and lamppost in Workington
A man is in stable condition after suffering what police say was a 'medical episode' before a collision in Workington.
He was driving a Peugeot van, which collided with a wall and lamppost in the Hall Brow area of the town at around 6:50pm on Thursday 6th April.
An off-duty police officer and members of the public helped the 59-year-old driver. He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, where his condition is described as stable.
Police have thanked motorists for their patience while they investigated the incident.
