Police searching for missing Egremont man recover body in River Ehen

Police searching for a missing man from Egremont in Cumbria have confirmed that a man’s body has been found in the River Eden at Egremont.

Formal identification has not yet taken place and enquires are ongoing but police do not believe the death to be suspicious.

David Hornsby was last seen on Beckgreen at approximately 2am on the 24th of December.

The police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr Hornsby to get in touch. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police immediately on 101.
