Police called to Wigton after reports of a body found

Police have been called to a street in Wigton after reports of a body found there.

Officers arrived at the scene close to the Co-Op store on Station Road earlier tonight.

The police have confirmed that a body was found, however say at this stage they believe the person had died suddenly.

They have not released whether the person was a man or a woman and investigations are continuing.
