Man's body found in Jedburgh

A man's body has been discovered in an outbuilding in the Crailing area, near Jedburgh.

A formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of missing Hawick man, 45-year-old Bob Cantle, have been informed.

Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

Bob Cantle has been missing for 12 days, and was last seen leaving the Howegate area of Hawick in a silver Fiat Punto on Sunday 24 July.

Concern for his welfare was raised as he suffers from diabetes and there were fears he is not in possession of medication.
