Investigation continues after body found at bridge

Police are continuing to investigate after the body of a male was found yesterday (July 29) on the A689 at Middle Gelt Bridge, between Hayton and Talkin.

The body was located by a member of the public at around 6:50am.

The man has now been formally identified and his family are being supported by officers.

His death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
