Police appeal for witnesses following fatal A66 crash

Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A66 near Braithwaite, Keswick.

Emergency Services were called to the scene around 5pm on Friday.

A 24-year-old man, who was driving a blue VW Bora, was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries.

An 82-year-old man, who was driving a silver Toyota Avensis, was taken by a second air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, but died on Sunday.
