Second place for Cockermouth driver in Pirelli Rally

Cockermouth rally driver Matthew Wilson has finished second following the final stage of the Pirelli Carlisle Rally.

He was beaten to the top spot by Sweden's Fredrick Ahlin in the two-day event in Kielder Forest.

Top UK and international drivers competed over seven stages this weekend.

The event is the third round of the British Rally Championships. The next stage is the Scottish Rally which sets off from the Whitesands in Dumfries on Saturday, 25th June.
