Woman in hospital after rescue at Buttermere

A woman has been taken to hospital after being helped by mountain rescue in the Lake District.

The 57-year-old suffered from pains indicating a potential heart problem while on Buttermere lake shore path on Saturday. Fourteen members from Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team came to her aid along with air and land ambulance services.

The lady was treated at the scene before being transported to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
