Delays after lorry overturns on A75 near Castle Douglas

Traffic was held up on the A75 Gretna - Stranraer Euro-route this morning after a lorry loaded with dairy produce overturned west of Castle Douglas.

The accident happened at the Barstibly junction to Kirkcudbright around 7am and emergency services attended.

No one was injured in the accident which led to traffic delays for some time.

The lorry which was believed to have been carrying milk and cream, ended up on the embankment of the road.
