Victim of scooter theft that 'left him housebound' given generous new wheels

An 83-year-old man from Carlisle who had his mobility scooter stolen is back on the move again.

Ken Robinson has had multiple strokes and was relying on friends and taxis to get around. He received the keys this morning after Age UK arranged a donation from a mobility scooter company.

His carer says they've been overwhelmed by people's generosity.

It was brilliant that everybody came together and offered scooters right, left and centre but obviously we took the Quingo option because it was safer for Ken and they did a test drive with him and everything and now I'm just pleased he's back to his independent self again.
