WATCH: Tour of Britain veteran reminisces over Cumbria and Borders stage

As our region gears up to welcome the Tour of Britain next month, we bring you an exclusive interview with the winner of the very first event.

Ian Steel, now aged 86, was considered to be the Bradley Wiggins of his day.

He won a number of stages of the Tour in 1951 including the one that went through Kendal, Shap, Carlisle and Gretna.
