Body found near Glencaple

Police Scotland have recovered the body of a male person from a beach near Glencaple in Dumfries and Galloway.

The body was discovered by a member of the public at around 10.30am today.

As yet no formal identification has been made but police say the family of Macauley McQueen have been informed.

The 18-year-old was last seen entering the River Nith on December 22.
