High praise for Murdoch's winning stone

Members of the men's curling team have been speaking of their delight at their most recent win at the Winter Olympics.

Team GB faced stiff competition from Norway this morning as they fought for the final spot in the semi-finals.

But it was Lockerbie's David Murdoch who sealed the deal, taking out two of Norway's stones with the final shot of the match.

"We weighed up our chances of stealing in the extra end and we decided the odds were better going for the win. You might have a go at that shot in the middle of the game and no-one would think anything of it but to win it's different and to win to make the semi-finals of the Olympics makes it the best he's played all season."

– Greg Drummond, Team GB Curling
