Body found at Askam-in-Furness

Police found a body at Askam-in-Furness earlier today.

The police were called by the Coastguard to the pier in Askam, after a member of the public reported a body in the water.

Formal identification has not taken place yet but officers are supporting the family of an individual.

Police are not treating the matter as suspicious.
