Homes in Kirkconnel, Newton Stewart and Port Logan have had to be evacuated due to severe flooding.
Around 40 homes in Kirkconnel have been evacuated and a rest and welfare centre has been set up in the Miners Hall in the village.
Moniave village was almost cut off due to flooding on the A702 and a family had to be moved from their bungalow, which was cut off by flood water.
The Whitesands in Dumfries is still closed as water levels continue to rise and the police are asking everyone to avoid the town centre.
Four houses in Port Logan and more homes in Arthur Street in Newton Stewart were evacuated.
A rest centre has also been set up in the town.
