Body found on beach near Allonby

Cumbria Police say the body of a man has been found on a beach near Allonby.

Officers were called to the scene near Maryport Golf Club at 12.30pm.

A large search has been underway for 17-year-old Callum Chapman who went missing from a relatives home in Maryport in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police stress the body hasn't yet been formally identified and investigations are still ongoing.
