Former Cumbrian vicar charged with sex offences

A former Cumbrian vicar has been charged with sexual crimes against four boys. 74 year old Ronald Johns is a former rector of Caldbeck and was a canon at Carlisle Cathedral. He now lives in Norwich after retiring 12 years ago.

He faces three charges of serious sexual assault, Six counts of gross indecency and six more of indecent assault dating from 1979 to 1991. He's due to appear before Carlisle magistrates next month
