Mounted patrols hit Dumfries streets
Six teams of horses and officers from Police Scotland's Mounted Division have been patrolling Dumfries to support local officers.
It is their first visit to the town since the amalgamation of all Scottish forces on 1st April.

Officers from the Mounted Branch of Police Scotland are visiting Dumfries to carry out patrols across the town.
A team of six horses and officerS will support local officers on patrol across Dumfries, Locharbriggs and Heathhall.
The mounted division will receive their task duties from locally based supervisors on their first visit to 'V' Division, Dumfries and Galloway.
They are expected to leave from town's Divisional Headquarters, Cornwall Mount, just after 11am.
