Woman's body found on the shoreline near Maryport

The body of a woman has been found on the shoreline in west Cumbria.

Police were called by a member of the public at 9:45am who had discovered a body close to the golf course, near Maryport.

At this time a formal identity has not taken place and police are treating the death as unexplained.
