Lakes Line protestors march against Northern Rail
More than 100 people have marched from Windermere to Oxenholme to protest against the suspension of rail services for the next four weeks.
Northern Rail has temporarily closed the Lakes Line, which runs to and from Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme and Windermere.
Initially it was to have been suspended for two weeks, but the train operator now says replacement bus services will run until 2 July.
Local MP Tim Farron led the protest march, which took place on Saturday 9 June. He has called for Northern Rail to be stripped of the Lakes Line franchise.
Protestors told ITV Border of their frustrations, and how the line closure is affecting them.
