Workington man in Brazil motorbike crash dies

A Workington man who lost his leg in a motorbike crash while on holiday in Brazil has died.

34-year-old Christopher Peck was involved in a head-on crash with a drunk driver, his family said.

Mr Peck suffered broken ribs and a fractured femur and was put into an induced coma.

Two JustGiving pages were set up by his family to pay for his transfer to another hospital in Brazil where he would have life-saving operations.

However Mr Peck died in hospital today, Wednesday 2 May, his family have confirmed.
