Sellafield issued warning over health concerns

Sellafield Ltd has been given an official notice to improve it's management of bacteria in it's cooling tower system.

The Office for Nuclear Regulation issued the warning following an inspection of the nuclear site's cooling tower management.

The notice requires Sellafied to improve the condition of the cooling tower, to minimise the likelihood of Legionella bacteria increasing.
