Volunteers from a Muslim youth group have been helping flood victims in Cumbria today.

Sixty members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, from locations including London and Scotland, have been assisting people in the Allerdale area.

Some of them have been travelling to the flood stricken areas daily since Tuesday to help out residents and relief groups.

Muddassar Ahmad, National Director of Charities and Social Activities for AMYA, says he hopes this helps people to "see the true nature of Islam".
