Cow rescued after falling down embankment

Fire fighters in Cumbria spent four hours rescuing a cow that was trapped after falling thirty feet down a steep embankment.

The calf called Sparkle had become wedged against the base of a tree at a farm near Penrith. The Pedigree dairy shorthorn was unharmed after the ordeal and is now recovering at the farm.
