Police chiefs have condemned vandals who threw a metal bollard through one of their patrol cars while it attended an emergency call-out in Dunstable.

Bedfordshire Police said it was responding to an unrelated dispute on the High Street on the afternoon of Friday 12th January

No-one was in the vehicle at the time.

On a Twitter post Supt Nick Lyall described it as an "unacceptable" act of vandalism by a "dipstick".
