Body found on beach in Essex

Police are appealing for witnesses after a body was found on a beach in Essex.

Police were called to the Western Esplanade in Westcliff shortly before 3.30am today, Saturday, November 18.

Officers and paramedics attended but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is being treated as unexplained and investigations are ongoing.
