Couples told they won't get IVF treatment in Cambridgeshire

Couples in Cambridgeshire who are struggling to have a baby have been told they won't get IVF treatment on the NHS.

Health bosses in the county have decided to scrap free fertility treatment in order to save around £700,000 a year.

Clinical Commissioning Groups are recommended to provide three free cycles of treatment.

Many in the Anglia region now only pay for one or two but in Cambridgeshire there will be none.

The vote was nine to four in favour of scrapping the treatment.
