Fire services visit high rise flats across region in wake of Grenfell Tower disaster

Fire services across the region are continuing to visit high rise flats in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster in London.

More than 79 people are thought to have died in the blaze that destroyed the building a week ago today.

Now Suffolk fire brigade is carrying out checks on all tower blocks, as are Norfolk and Essex services.

Meanwhile in Southend the council is bringing forward £2 million of funding to get fire safety works done early.
