Dog owners ignoring micro-chipping

Seventy thousand dog owners in the East are breaking the law, one year on from the introduction of compulsory micro-chipping.

The Dogs Trust say owners should do it, incase their pets get lost and they can be reunited.

Councils across the region have issued almost three thousand enforcement notices since the new rules came into force.
